Op 17-2-1920 volgde de echtgenote met de rest van het gezin naar Wormerveer, waar nog wel wat werk te krijgen was. Net voor ze vertrokken stierf plotseling een dochter, en toen ze pas in Wormerveer woonden stierf opnieuw een dochter.
