    Notes:

Travelled doing business with shops and hotels while working for a Greek in Butterworh. One of his visits to Manubi/Mazeppa Bay he met Margeret "Maggie" Lawrence, who had a child Arthur Rubin (Trow). They got married and lived in Manubi.

He was reclassified from white to coloured because he married a dark skinned Brazillian. He challenged this, and refused to accept the two monthly "coloured" pension for many years.

He was later reclassified white, and recieved the monthly "white pension".

He was a farmer and photographer. The fruit included, Jackfruit, custard apple, cherries, mango, pawpaw, grapes, persermin, litchie, banana, grannedilla, orange, china mealies, chinese guava, guava, coffee, loqueuts, peacan nuts, tree tomato, grape fruit.

He made a living off the fruit and vegetables he planted. He also cultivated tobacco and sold it after drying the leaves.

I remember him writing on the bags and sending he tobacco bags away by bus.
