  • Notes
    • Ludovick had another son, named James, born in 1725. This James painted the Portrait of his Father and Brother Francis. James is not listed on the Chief's Family Tree.
In other places (Ancestry.com, GENI.com, etc.) Ludovick is listed as the father of John Alexander who was born in 1700 and went to Virginia. I can not find any documentation for this.
The Chief's Tree shows Ludovick having a son John, but gives no dates. Seeing that Ludovick's marriage to Helen Grant was in 1706, it is highly unlikely they were the parents of John Alexander.
