- GOESSEL -- Lucinda Juanita Goossen, 19, sophomore at Kansas State University and graduate of Goessel High School, died Friday (Jan. 5, 2001) north of Goessel.
She was born June 30, 1981, to Ervin and Maria Belia (Trevino) Goossen in Newton. They survive.
She was a member of Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church, Goessel 4-H and F.F.A., Student Organization of Rotary International, American Dairy Association, Dairy Science Club and the Pre-Vet Club and was a multicultural ambassador.
Other survivors include: a brother, Alexander Goossen of rural Hillsboro; a sister, Carmelita Goossen of rural Hillsboro; and a grandmother, Agnes Goossen of Goessel.
Funeral service was Wednesday at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church near Goessel with the Revs. James Dunn and Mark Wiens officiating.
Burial was in Alexanderwohl Cemetery.
Memorials have been established with the Lucinda Goossen Memorial Fund in care of the church.
