~A. P. Quiring

My beloved wife, Elisabeth Quiring, nee Goossen was born on the first of April l885 on the farm northeast of Mountain Lake and died February 8, l920 after a seven day very painful sickness. She reached the age of 34 years, 10 months and 7 days. In l905 she was baptized by Rev. Gerhard Neufeld and became a member of the church. (Mennonite Church of Mountain Lake, Minnesota) On May 19, l910 she was married to Abraham P. Quiring in holy wedlock. We were married for ten years and she stood by my side in joy and sorrow. She became the mother of two children - one son and one daughter.
She leaves me, her sorrowing husband, and two small children who need their mother's care and attention, and her old mother, four sisters, her husbands's parents and many friends who grieve her early death. ~A. P. Quiring
