- Tina (Goossen) Bartel was born on Oct. 3, 1925 to Peter D and Helena Goossen in Greenland, MB, municipality of Ste. Anne MB. She peacefully passed away to her Heavenly Home on November 2, 2012 at the Maplewood Manor, Steinbach, MB at the age of 87 years.
She met and married the love of her life, Alvin, on November 27, 1949. They enjoyed their 63 years of marriage together but not without sweat, tears, hard work and fun on their small farm near Steinbach.
Left to cherish precious memories is her beloved husband Alvin and their five children: Wayne, of Steinbach, MB, Murray (Elizabeth) of Calgary, AB, Rawlyn (Thérèse) of Grande Pointe, MB, Karen (Dave Unger) of Steinbach, MB, and Cathleen (Henry Martens) of Steinbach, MB; six grandchildren Pascale (Tom Gretchen), Jordan, Riley, Alix, Colton and Stephen and one great-grandson Zachary. She also leaves to mourn five brothers and six sisters-in-law.
Those preceding her in death are her two daughters Judith and Sharon, her parents and parents-in-law, her four brothers, four sisters, eight brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law.

Viewing will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel in Steinbach on Tuesday, November 6 at 7:00 with a devotional at 7:30 p.m. and at the church prior to the service.
The funeral service will be held Wednesday, November 7 at 10:30 a.m. at the Church of God in Christ, Mennonite in Steinbach with interment at Heritage Cemetery.
