    • Fokke Rientses wordt in 1811 benoemd als voogd over Rients Wijbes, de nagelaten zoon van zijn overleden broer Wijbe Rientses, die in 1811 overleed waardoor Rients Wijbes weeskind werd. Alle rechtshandelingen van Rienk Wijbes werden dan ook door zijn oom verricht.

      De naamsaanneming hoorde daar ook bij, zodat Fokke Rientses niet alleen de familienaam "Plantinga" aannaam voor zichzelf en zijn kinderen Klaaske (12), Teetske (10), Rients (7) en Siek (20 weken), maar ook voor Rienk Wijbes.
